DRDO Recruitment 2022 For Scientist B Posts
For the post of Scientist B and Scientist/Engineer B, RAC has published a notice inviting applications from graduates in Science and Engineering for posts at Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), Department of Science & Technology (DST) and Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) at Level-10 (7th CPC) of the Pay Matrix (Rs.56,100/-) in certain disciplines.
The RAC is currently recruiting for 579 vacancies at DRDO, 8 vacancies at DST, and 43 vacancies at ADA for Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical, Material Science & Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Aeronautical Engineering, Mathematics, Civil Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Material Science, Naval Architecture, Environmental Science & Engineering, Atmospheric Science and Engineering, and Environmental Management.

DRDO Scientist B Eligibility Details 2022
Mechanical Engineering
First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent. GATE score of ME in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum of 80% aggregate marks in an EQ degree from an IIT or NIT.
Electronics & Communication Engineering
A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics and Communication Engg from a recognized university or equivalent is required. The candidate must have a valid GATE score in Electronics & Communication Engineering [Paper code: EC]. The candidate must also have passed an Engineering degree with 80% aggregate if from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) or National Institute of Technology (NIT).
Electrical Engineering
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology from a recognized university or equivalent. Successful GATE score in Electrical Engineering.
Computer Science and Engineering
The candidate must have at least a First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science & Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent and a Valid GATE score in Computer Science & Information Technology.
Material Science & Engineering and Metallurgical Engineering
A first class bachelor’s degree in engineering is required Or a technology degree in metallurgy from a recognized university. Valid GATE metallurgical engineering score.

Selection Process For DRDO Recruitment 2022
The following criteria will be used to select candidates:
- GATE scores and/or written examination results
- Personal Interview
DRDO will prepare a discipline- and category-wise merit list based on a weightage of 80% in the Written Examination, and 20% in the Personal Interview.
